Hello families,
Did we all enjoy our extra hour in bed? For families with young children, that extra hour is often more fantasy than fact. Fortunately, many of our middle schoolers are perfectly happy to sleep through the clock change, allowing us to briefly believe we've somehow gained time.
We're in the midst of ways to support our school community, whether that's helping with the bake sale at the Harvard Men's football game, ordering a Thanksgiving meal through a local partner, or contributing to our gift card drive for families who could use extra support this season - thank you, as always, for being such a wonderful part of our school community.

School Council Election Results:
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's School Council election. Your parent representatives for the 2026-2028 term are Toyba Ahmed, Emily Braunstein, and Tammy Sorrell.
Congratulations to these parents on their election and thank you for stepping forward to serve the CSUS community. We look forward to working together to support our students, families, and school.
They will join Amber Villa, Sarah Figge-Hussain, and myself on the School Council.

Coffee, Council & Chat:
This month's session will be Thursday Nov 5th at Valente Library. It’s an open opportunity to share what’s on your mind, ask questions, and let us know how the School Council can support you and your child this year. It's a relaxed space for families to connect with the parent representatives on the School Council. Join us in person for a cup of coffee and conversation or hop into our virtual option if that’s easier for your schedule.

Harvard Bake Sale - Saturday Nov 7th from 1-3pm
We will host a bake sale at the Harvard game! Would love your help with baked goods and sales on the day. We're looking for easy to handle baked treats such as cookies, brownies, cupcakes. Please sign up here:

While our fundraising efforts help support programming throughout the year, our Thanksgiving Gift Card Drive has a more immediate goal: helping ensure families in our community have a little extra support during the holiday season.
