Your donation will help us give all our students the opportunity to explore the history, culture, and activities that New York City has to offer. For many of our students, this will be their first time in New York City, and for some, their first time leaving Massachusetts. Help us show our students that a town like New York, full of possibilities, is a place they can return to someday with confidence!

Our scholars will take the bus, leaving at dawn on June 12 and returning the evening of June 13. They will visit historical and cultural sites including the United Nations, The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, The Tenement Museum and the Empire State Building. In smaller groups they will kayak on the Hudson, take a Hip Hop tour of Harlem and the Bronx, bike in Central Park, walk through Chinatown and take selfies from Brooklyn Bridge. In the evening they’ll attend Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater

The trip is organized by 8th-grade students and their teachers in collaboration with 8th-grade caregivers.
